Michael F. Shanahan, Jr.

Michael Shanahan has served as President and CEO of Huntleigh McGehee since 2004 at which time he purchased the company from H. Smith McGehee who remains as Chairman. Prior to joining Huntleigh McGehee, Mr. Shanahan was Executive Vice President at Lockton Companies, Director of Marketing at Engineered Support Systems, Inc. and a Sales Representative for the St. Louis Blues Hockey Club.

Mr. Shanahan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing) from St. Louis University.

Mr. Shanahan serves on the Board of Directors of Backstoppers, Old Warson Country Club, Persimmon Woods Golf Club, Howard Park Early Childhood Center, Wyman Center, St. Louis Sports Commission, and the Kilo Diabetes Research Foundation. He also serves as a member of the Habitat for Humanity St. Louis Development Council and is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Mr. Shanahan and his wife Paula Shanahan have four children, Casey, Lily, Joy and Michael III. They reside in Chesterfield, Missouri.

H. Smith McGehee

Smith McGehee has served as Chairman of Huntleigh McGehee since 2004 working directly with the President and CEO. Prior to Huntleigh McGehee, Mr. McGehee was a partner at Lawton, Byrn, Bruner until 1986 when he became a managing director and head of the office at Marsh & McLennan in St. Louis. In 1991, he left Marsh & McLennan and started Huntleigh McGehee.

Mr. McGehee holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Mississippi.

Mr. McGehee serves on the Board of Directors of March of Dimes and Trans-Mississippi Golf Association and Turf Scholarship Fund.

A native of Mississippi, Mr. McGehee and his wife Janet McGehee have two adult sons, Michael and Robby. Janet and Smith reside in Ladue, Missouri.
